Yoga and breathing exercises have become an important part of my fitness routine. They have improved my flexibility, helped me manage stress, and kept my mind sharp. Seeing the positive effects of physical activity on the elder men in my family, especially my father who did a lot of physical work, inspired me to include these practices in my life.
I remember my first yoga session (many many years ago); it was challenging, but I felt calm and relaxed afterward. Over time, yoga became something I look forward to. My favorite pose is the Surya Namaskar, which I try practice at the start of my day with energy and positivity.
My father didn’t practice yoga, but he was always physically active. This taught me the value of staying active. Now, I practice Anulom Vilom, a breathing exercise, which helps me stay centered and focused.
